João Neves (21) has not featured since the 2-2 draw against AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League play-off second-leg. The Portugal international has been struggling with an ankle injury, however, he is expected to return when Paris Saint-Germain face Chelsea at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night, according to a report from Le Parisien.

PSG are “clearly struggling” in the words of Luis Enrique, however, Neves’ return would provide a much-welcome boost ahead of this key UCL tie. His return would be a boost, especially given Fabián Ruiz’s continued absence due to a knee injury.

Le Parisien understands that the Portuguese midfielder is at least expected to be included in the matchday squad, even if there are no guarantees that he will be fit enough to feature against Liam Rosenior’s side.
