Having already roped in Dean Huijsen this summer, it might only be a matter of time before Real Madrid also confirm deals to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alvaro Carreras.
These three players are a part of Real Madrid’s defensive reinforcements that was planned for the summer. The club’s focus now shifts to signing a midfielder.
The Spanish giants have been linked with a series of star players in recent months, including Liverpool sensation Alexis Mac Allister and Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez.
Real Madrid not looking to spend a fortune
However, a recent report from Cadena SER has offered a fresh perspective into Real Madrid’s plans to sign a new midfielder this summer.
As per the report, the club have lowered its expectation for midfield reinforcements this summer. That means the club do not see the need to spend a fortune in the market for a new midfielder.
The report even adds that Real Madrid are not going to spend €100 million on a single midfielder, which pretty much rules out their pursuit of some of the stars such as Rodri and Enzo Fernandez.
It also rules out Florian Wirtz even though the Bayer Leverkusen star has been closely linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The Real Madrid board believes the current set of midfielders comprising Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga , Federico Valverde and Arda Guler, is more than enough, provided they are fully fit.
Unfortunately, though, expecting all of them to be fully fit at the same time has proven to be quite unrealistic lately.
As such, Real Madrid may have to go after at least one midfielder. But it is not going to be a flashy signing and that is where Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller comes into the picture.
The German international is clearly a target for Los Blancos and so it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid can negotiate a cut-price deal with Stuttgart for the services of the young midfield star.
