Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou insists he’s ‘not concerned’ about Guglielmo Vicario’s confidence despite two consecutive errors from the Italy international.
Spurs lost 2-1 at home against Nottingham Forest on Monday, seeing Italy keeper Vicario make his second consecutive mistake, leading to a goal.
The former Empoli keeper claimed the ball from a cross from the left, but the opposing striker Chris Wood got on the ball first, doubling Forest’s lead at minute 16.
Vicario has been in poor form lately as fans and media had already criticised him for a shaky performance in the previous 4-2 loss against Wolves.
Postecoglou ‘not’ concerned about Vicario despite recurring mistakes

Postecoglou was asked whether the goalkeeper’s recurring mistakes in recent weeks were a concern for the Italian’s confidence.
“No, I don’t, he’s fine,” he replied via Football London.
Another Italy international, Destiny Udogie, was unavailable against Forest, but is expected to return to action in the next match against Liverpool.
“Destiny was fine,” insisted Postecoglou.
“We just left him out of the squad tonight. He put in a big physical shift on Thursday, and the idea was always to rest him. I wasn’t going to put him on, so there was no point in putting him on the bench.”
Vicario, 28, has only kept six clean sheets in 28 Spurs games this season.
The Italian is the Azzurri’s second-choice goalkeeper behind Gianluigi Donnarumma and has made four appearances at the international level.
