On an episode of her Too Much Information with Shelly Martinez podcast, the former WWE star discussed the abovementioned rumor. Martinez made it clear that she never had a romantic relationship with Batista. The 45-year-old even revealed that she and the legend butted heads backstage, and one of their backstage interactions got her fired.

“Let’s move backwards, so the infamous night that i got into a fight with Dave Batista, so for me it was very memorable because, Ozzy Osborne was was there with his band and I was really vibing with his bandmates and after they performed Ozzy left but his band stayed becuase they wanted to see me perform with Kevin beasuse they were like so enchanted with our character this and that, so i was excited. I was there looking for a hairspray.” (36:21 – 37:02)

Martinez spoke about one of her backstage interactions with The Animal:

“I was backstage where the moniter is and where we can all see the show and is see this wrestler whisper to Batista something and Batista goes, “Hey Shelly or something to the effect of last I checked the thing that happened in catering had nothing to do with you, so why don’t you mind your business,” and i just looked at him and that time he and I had been butting heads leading up to that. The one thing I want to say [is that] it annoys the hell out of me that people assumed that I had s*xual relations with Batista. I never did anything. It was never like that.” (37:02 – 37:49)

When did Shelly Martinez leave WWE?

In 2005, Martinez signed with the Stamford-based promotion’s then-developmental territory, OVW. She made her main roster debut in 2006 as part of the revamped ECW. Martinez also appeared at WrestleMania 23.

The veteran’s stint with the sports entertainment juggernaut was short, as she was released from her contract in 2007. Martinez believes her backstage fight with Batista led to her WWE firing.
