The direction was obvious for several weeks before Pat McAfee was added to the Cody Rhodes feud.
Jelly Roll has now become part of the Pat McAfee story instead and has already attacked McAfee twice, because he isn’t a WWE star and is allowed to put his hands on him.
That being said, this now means that Danhausen, The Miz, and Kit Wilson are without a WrestleMania 42 match. The card for the show already looks stacked, but there is the option for WWE to add kick-off show matches to the card, with the feud between Wilson and Danhausen continuing even without Jelly Roll’s assistance.
Will Jelly Roll be added to the Undisputed WWE Championship Match?
Jelly Roll could be added to Cody Rhodes’ match officially since it seems that Pat McAfee will be in Randy Orton’s corner, so Rhodes needs someone to combat that.
It will be interesting to see if he is still able to be part of WrestleMania, since it seems that there has been a major U-turn because Wilson and Jelly Roll had a story where they were having a rapping competition, as well as a match between the two men.
WWE hasn’t explained why the direction has changed for the story, either, with Wilson and Danhausen not even interacting on TV with Jelly Roll, whilst he has instead focused his attention on Pat McAfee, whom he ambushed backstage on SmackDown.
WWE has one more episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania and there could be a number of angles set up for the show. It’s just a surprise that they have taken Jelly Roll out of a story that could have given three other men a WrestleMania moment, so that he can become a part of a story that doesn’t need him.
Jelly Roll is supposed to be the voice of reason for Randy Orton, but since he already RKO’d him, it’s clear that he doesn’t want to listen and he’s only listening to Pat McAfee at the moment.
