The 2025 college football season rolls into Week 5 with three live games on CBS Sports Network, part of a full Saturday slate.

The action kicks off in the MAC as Bowling Green meets Ohio in a conference opener, with both teams chasing early momentum in league play.

In the afternoon, unbeaten Navy hosts Rice in Annapolis. The Midshipmen’s punishing ground game and disciplined defense have fueled early College Football Playoff talk, while Rice looks to spring a road upset.

The tripleheader wraps in Fort Collins with Washington State visiting Colorado State in a future Pac-12 matchup. Both teams enter looking to bounce back from Week 4 losses and steady their seasons.

Reigning MAC champion Ohio (2-2) opens conference play Saturday against Bowling Green (2-2) as it looks to defend its title. The Bobcats dropped both nonconference games to Big Ten opponents but notched a Week 2 upset of West Virginia. Quarterback Parker Navarro ranks fifth among Group of Six passers in EPA per dropback (0.30) this season, per TruMedia. Bowling Green has lost three straight trips to Athens, last winning on the road against Ohio in 2014.

Rice vs. Navy

Passing should take a backseat when Rice (3-1) visits Navy (3-0) on Saturday afternoon. Both teams rank near the bottom of the FBS in pass attempts per game, with Rice averaging 13.3 (No. 135) and Navy 10.7 (No. 136). The Midshipmen hold the edge on the ground, averaging 11.1 yards per carry (fifth nationally) compared with 5.8 for the Owls, tied for 123rd. Rice snapped a four-game losing streak against Navy last season with a 24-10 win at home, handing the Midshipmen their first American loss.

Washington State vs. Colorado State

Washington State (2-2) and Colorado State (1-2) will be conference foes starting in 2026, but they meet one last time as nonconference opponents Saturday night in Fort Collins. The Cougars enter on a two-game skid to open a three-game road swing, while the Rams are coming off a gut-punch 17-16 loss to UTSA after a failed 2-point conversion in Week 4. This is the fourth meeting between the programs, with Washington State winning the last two.
