Jackson Koivun is now 2-for-2 to kick off his spring.

The world’s No. 1 amateur and junior at Auburn won his second start in as many weeks, taking the title at the 2026 Gator Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Florida. Koivun finished at 9-under 201, two shots better than USF’s Wilhelm Ryding. Last week, Koivun finished at 25 under to take the Amer Ari Invitational by five shots while breaking a Tiger Woods record in the process.

The win is also the seventh of Koivun’s Auburn career, the most of any golfer in school history, breaking a tie with Jimmy Green. He has won at least two times every season and continues to prove worthy of his top spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. He also takes over as the favorite for the Fred Haskins Award, which he captured in 2024. The Haskins, given to the collegiate player of the year, has been won multiple times by only three golfers in the award’s history: Ben Crenshaw, Bobby Clampett and Phil Mickelson.

While Koivun helped Auburn to a second-place finish, the host Florida Gators ran away in the team competition, finishing at 27 under and 14 shots ahead of the Tigers. Noah Kent, the Iowa transfer making his first start for Florida, and Matthew Kress tied for third at 6 under. Zach Swanwick came in sixth while Parker Sands and Jack Turner tied for seventh.

Defending national champion Oklahoma State placed third.
