The original Air Jordan 14 sneaker was “an unexpected legend,” according to Nike. Will the newly dropped Air Jordan Golf Shoes become the same? Nike hopes so.

Nike is selling Air Jordan 14 G Golf Shoes for $255. Available sizes range from men’s 3.5 to 13 and women’s five to 14.5.

The original AJ14s were designed by legendary sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield and released back in 1998. To this day, they remain a big hit in the sneakerhead community.

Nike says, “Michael Jordan debuted the Air Jordan 14 during his last ever Finals appearance in 1998, leading his team to another championship with his immortal ‘Last Shot.’ Tinker Hatfield had given MJ an early prototype of the shoe, asking him to refrain from wearing it just yet. However, His Airness liked the shoes so much that he wore them en route to his sixth and final championship, cementing their status as a building block of basketball history.”

Golfers are hoping Jordan’s legendary shot-making ability in basketball can somehow transfer to them through the shoes to the golf course. Honestly, Jordan Brand’s entire business model has been based on everyone wanting to “Be Like Mike,” and it’s worked out beautifully.

About the shoes, Nike says: “A timeless classic remixed for the course—meet the Air Jordan 14 G. Air Zoom units in the forefoot and heel help provide comfortable cushioning for every swing and step. For support and traction, we stabilized the midsole and added seven removable spikes to the outsole plate.”

There’s only one review so far, and it’s five out of five stars.
