Jahmyr Gibbs continues to be the centerpiece of the Detroit Lions’ offense, and with fellow running back David Montgomery potentially on his way out of the Motor City, the dynamic playmaker could be in line for career-high numbers.

Jonathan Taylor looked set to run away with OPOY honors last year, as the Indianapolis Colts running back was the odds-on favorite through the first half of the year.

Then came the collapse. The Colts stumbled down the stretch, losing nine of their final 10 regular-season games, which included noticeable dips in Taylor’s production.

Despite the team’s struggles, the Colts’ running back still finished with the second-most rushing yards in the NFL, falling just 26 short of James Cook.

Backed by a stout offensive line and a run-heavy scheme, Taylor remains a solid pick heading into a fresh campaign.
