The New Jersey Devils officially snapped their three-game losing streak by defeating the Philadelphia Flyers by a 3-1 final score on March 9. This was undoubtedly a much-needed win for the Metropolitan Division club.

Newcomer Cody Glass certainly made an impact during his debut for the Devils against the Flyers. The 25-year-old forward scored the game-opening goal at the 11:10 mark of the first period to give New Jersey a 1-0 lead.

Glass’ first goal as a Devil was a nice one, too. After Stefen Noesen’s attempted pass was broken up by Flyers defenseman Nick Seeler, Glass secured the puck in the slot and beat Ivan Fedotov with a great wrist shot.

This was a wonderful way for Glass to make a first impression with the Devils. The hope from here is that the 2017 sixth-overall pick will continue to produce for a Devils club that needs more secondary offensive production.

After this performance, Glass now has five goals and 16 points in 52 games split between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Devils this season. His best season was back in 2022-23 with the Predators, where he set career-highs with 14 goals, 21 assists, and 37 points in 72 games.
