New Camera Angle Shows Harrowing Moment Jordan Spieth Shot Entered Crowd at Memorial Tournament originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The PGA Tour headed to Dublin, Ohio this past weekend for the Memorial Tournament at the Jack Nicklaus designed Muirfield Village Golf Club.

The event proved a showcase for rising star Scottie Scheffler as he won the tournament going away with a final score of 10 under par, four strokes better than runner-up Ben Griffin.

Jordan Spieth also made headlines for his performance at the tournament, but in an entirely different way.

The PGA superstar was shown hitting a scorching line drive into the crowd amid the tournament’s hoopla this past Saturday.

On Tuesday, a new camera angle from a fan on the scene showed just how close Spieth and fans in the crowd came to disaster.

“This view of Jordan Spieth almost ending a fan’s life is crazy,” a caption for the latest video angle read.

“It’s wild that more serious injuries or even deaths don’t happen on tour. Fans have zero fear, even when it’s a tough shot.

“Has anyone been killed or seriously hurt by a pro golf ball?”

Fans were vocal on X as they typed their responses.

“I mean if I see a pro golfer lined up that way, there is zero chance I’m standing right there. Even if it’s Scottie. That was almost Darwin at its finest,” one fan said.

“You’re fine with Scottie,” another said.

“Definitely life flashed before his eyes. Yikes,” another added.

“Quite literally shouldn’t have been standing there,” another added of the Spieth fan.
