Nelly Korda continued her fantastic start to the LPGA Tour season by finishing runner-up at the Ford Championship.
Korda has 16 LPGA Tour career wins to her name, and fell just short of adding another at Whirlwind Golf Club in Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, Arizona.

Remarkably, for the second successive week, the American superstar finished behind only champion Hyo Joo Kim.
Kim clinched the Ford Championship title by two shots, having beaten Korda by just one shot at last week’s Founders Cup.
The two LPGA aces have now been grouped together for five successive rounds, with Korda joking afterwards that she’s fed up with the pairing.
Nelly Korda really inspired by “phenomenal” Hyo Joo Kim
Korda told Golf Channel after a back-to-back runner-up finish to Kim: “I’m done playing with her.
“I’m just kidding.
“Hyo Joo has been playing amazing golf, it’s been really inspiring to see.

“Playing with her definitely wants me… I elevate my game.
“She’s just a phenomenal player, person too, she’s fun to play along [with].
“And she definitely motivates me out on the golf course.”
Korda carded an impressive final round 5-under 67 to finish on 26-under, two shots behind her South Korean rival.

Hyo Joo Kim achieves feat last managed by Nelly Korda in 2024
Very fittingly, the latest LPGA champion has just emulated the runner-up with her latest win.
As per Justin Ray on X, Kim is the first player to win in consecutive weeks on the LPGA Tour since Korda in 2024.
Back then the American won a stunning five times in a row, while this season she has remarkably only been beaten by Kim.

The two-time major champion has now finished 1st, 2nd and 2nd in 2026, having amazingly failed to clinch a single win in 2025.
She remains behind only Jeeno Thitikul in the women’s world rankings, while Kim is currently fourth, behind Charley Hull in third.
The LPGA calendar now moves on to the Aramco Championship and subsequently the JM Eagle LA Championship.
And they are followed by The Chevron Championship, the first major of the season, which takes place at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas.
