Only two playoff drivers finished in the top 10 of Sunday’s Go Bowling at The Glen NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen won by Chris Buescher.
Austin Cindric is poised to comfortably make the Round of 12 with one race remaining, 43 points ahead of 13th place after a 10th-place finish at Watkins Glen. Chase Briscoe led all playoff drivers with a sixth-place finish, a needed boost for the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford in the points.
Denny Hamlin again had issues on Sunday, finishing 24th while sitting in 13th in points, six points behind 12th. Several playoff drivers were caught up in incidents on Sunday, including William Byron and Brad Keselowski in a late crash in which Byron’s car climbed up on top of the No. 6 RFK Racing Ford.
