Denny Hamlin is on the pole for the Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on March 29 at Martinsville Speedway.
Hamlins’s lap of 19.275 seconds was 0.356 faster than William Byron, who joins Hamlin on the front row.

Hamlin’s pole came after a strong qualifying performance from Hendersonville’s Josh Berry, who was competing for his first pole. Berry finished third and will start in the second row with a qualifying time of 19.334 seconds.
