One of the traits commonly found in revolutionary products is that they anticipate needs consumers didn’t even realize they had.

A golfer, for example, might have a nagging sense in the back of his mind that his rangefinder should have additional features that would benefit his game, but he can’t quite put his finger on what those features might be. So it falls to visionary designers to identify the problems, solve them and bring next-generation products to market.

That brings us to the newest addition to the Mileseey Golf line of rangefinders, the GenePro G1.

Mileseey has a much-deserved reputation for pushing the envelope with its leading-edge technologies that power elegantly designed products, whether in sport optics or intelligent metering. That approach is reflected in the GenePro G1, the pinnacle product of the company’s golf technology division, which was formed in 2014 to bring high-performance, user-friendly rangefinders to avid golfers.

What distinguishes the GenePro G1 rangefinder is not necessarily one feature but rather a collection of cutting-edge features that have been incorporated into an attractive, functional, ergonomically pleasing design.

Start with the 2.13-inch AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) touch screen, which delivers a vibrant, high-contrast display of the hole you’re playing. Mileseey Golf bills this as the first hybrid rangefinder – fusing GPS and laser technologies – with the largest touch screen ever introduced in the North American market. That screen gives golfers access to sharp imagery of more than 43,000 courses worldwide.

GenePro G1’s powerful GPS syncs to the touch screen and illustrates an arc of the course map, providing players with information on what hazards are in play and where to play their next shot. It also provides dynamic front/center/back yardages on approaches to the greens, while the Pin Pointer technology removes the uncertainty created by blind shots.

Golfers will never have to question their yardages on even the longest of shots. GenePro G1 has a whopping 1,300-yard range, with 600-yard flag lock, 6x magnification, instantaneous vibration feedback and measurements that are accurate to within a half-yard.

GenePro G1’s next-level SmartSlope technology doesn’t just take elevation into account; it takes a holistic approach when providing adjusted yardages. It displays real-time data on environmental factors, such as temperature, humidity and altitude, that can impact the distance the ball will travel.

The Rotating Slope Switch allows golfers to quickly toggle on and off. Importantly, when it’s toggled to the “on” position, the Slope Switch is red; for tournament play, that’s a vivid reminder to turn off that feature.

The innovations don’t end there. Mileseey’s Ball-to-Pin technology takes the guesswork out of yardages, no matter where you are on the golf course. For instance, if you find your view blocked by large vegetation, the Ball-to-Pin mode will provide measurements to the flag and hazards.

For the serious player who’s always looking for an edge, the GenePro G1 syncs to the Mileseey Golf app, allowing you to do a post-round analysis of each shot you hit.

All of those features make the GenePro G1 an ideal tool for competitive golfers preparing for tournament play, but also serious amateurs and tech-savvy players who always are looking for an edge.

The GenePro G1 is currently in the crowdfunding stage. You can learn more about that here.  The GenePro G1 is available at an early-bird price of $349.99, and it comes with a 10-year warranty, reflecting the durability of the sturdy but lightweight design.
