Mickie James reacted to being called out by a WWE Superstar today on social media. James was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame at Bound for Glory 2025 earlier this month.
Kelani Jordan is the reigning TNA Knockouts World Champion and successfully defended the title against Jordynne Grace this past Tuesday night on NXT. Jordan blasted Grace with the title while the referee was distracted to escape with the victory.
Jordan took to social media following the match to call out a bunch of legends of the professional wrestling business, including the former Divas Champion. The veteran reacted to Jordan’s message and noted that she was at the top of the champion’s list.
“Awe.. Look who grew some braids & balls overnight! I love that. Proud of you boo. Top of the list too @kelani_wwe! I’m touched. 😜🤠🦶,” she wrote.
Mickie James is married to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis in real life. She hasn’t competed in a match for the promotion since the Women’s Royal Rumble in 2022. The 46-year-old was a judge on the first season of WWE LFG but has since been replaced by Michelle McCool.
Vince Russo reacts to Mickie James being replaced on WWE LFG
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on Mickie James being replaced by Michelle McCool on Legends & Future Greats.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Writing with Russo show, the veteran suggested that The Undertaker may have seen a payday for his wife, Michelle McCool, and that may have been why James was replaced on the show.
“Why would Michelle McCool replace Mickie James [in LFG]? Why is she on this podcast when she’s not that good? And why in God’s name is she-what do you expect people to say, man? Of course that’s what they’re gonna say [i.e. him having a hand in McCool’s appointment]. Whether he did it or not or whether he orchestrated it or not, that’s what they’re going to say. […] Chris let’s face it. He probably saw a payday for his wife, […] that payday coming from the WWE,” he said.
Only time will tell if James gets the opportunity to return to the company down the line.
