One of the biggest surprises in free agency was our Miami Dolphins going out and signing former Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis to a three-year, $ 67.5 million deal. The surprise was not that a team with no qualified starter on the roster, once its prior starter, Tua Tagovailoa, was cut, would be interested in or want Willis, but that they were able to somehow give him a deal he would accept that would fit under the cap. With a 22.5 million dollar per year average contract, many rightfully believe that Malik, despite his limited experience as a starter, is the no-questions-asked starter going into the 2026-2027 NFL season, but what about beyond this coming season?

Do you believe that Malik Willis will ultimately be a long-term answer for the Miami Dolphins at starting quarterback, or is he just a competent placeholder for the team until they can draft and develop their long-term answer in the next couple of drafts?
