Mets top prospect Jett Williams left the final game of the Arizona Fall League season in the bottom of the first due to an apparent injury.

Williams was ranging back in deep left-center to make a catch when he banged hard into the outfield fence, and after making the throw back into the cutoff man, he tossed his glove up into the air and went down in pain.

After staying down for a few moment, he was helped off the field by trainers.

It’s unclear what exactly the injury was, but Williams was reportedly seen walking out of the dugout with a limp when the inning came to an end.

The hope is certainly that it isn’t anything significant, as the youngster already missed an ample amount of time last season after undergoing wrist surgery.

Most of his playing time following his return from the IL was in the infield, but the Mets have had him playing center field throughout the Fall League in an effort ot get him more comfortable out there.
