Mets CF Jose Siri left Saturday’s game vs. the Athletics in the top of the second.
Siri went down in a heap of pain after fouling a first pitch fastball off his left leg during his at-bat with two outs.
The speedster remained down for quite some time before needing assistance from trainers limping back to the dugout and then was carted to the clubhouse in left-centerfield.
Tyrone Taylor took over the at-bat and struck out swinging two pitches later.
Siri is 0-for-11 over his last seven games, but he’s provided a nice boost for the Mets with his speed and defense.
