The Mets are trading for Orioles center fielder Cedric Mullins, reports SNY MLB Insider Andy Martino.

In exchange for Mullins, the Mets are sending Raimon Gomez, Anthony Nunez, and Chandler Marsh to Baltimore.

Gomez, whose fastball has reached as high as 104 mph, was No. 28 on SNY Contributor Joe DeMayo's preseason Top 30 list.

Mullins has struggled for the most part this season, but a change of scenery from the Al East's last place club could be exactly what he needs.

Mullins served as a reliable piece atop Baltimore’s lineup the previous four years — compiling a .258 average, 15 triples, 79 homers, 108 doubles, 115 stolen bases, 251 RBI, and a .765 OPS over 578 games.

He averaged out to an impressive 3.9 WAR over that span.

Adding Mullins to the mix will help provide some length to the bottom of this lineup.

He is set to become a free agent at the end of this season.
