Max Homa Sends Touching Message to Wife Lacey Ahead of Welcoming Second Baby originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Max Homa kicked off the final round in style at the John Deere Classic, beginning with 3 birdies in the first four holes. He has been having quite an underwhelming year so far and Sunday proves to be that chance to finally turn things around after 890 days.
“Golf has just been very boring for me this year. I haven’t had a whole lot of stress, and you want to be stressed out.” Homa said on Saturday. “So I look forward to the butterflies in the morning… It’s just nice to get to feel that again. It’s been a while.”
However, things were not so grim in his life outside of golf. In fact, it is quite the opposite. Homa and his wife Lacey are ready to welcome their second child soon. He announced in April that his wife is expecting again.
“Happy Mother’s Day @lacehoma you are truly amazing and I am impressed every day. We are so lucky to have u in our lives 💙” Homa wrote on social media in May.
Their son Crew is already two and a half years old. They welcomed him back in October of 2022. But his birth was not all smooth. There were some complications that Homa revealed later.
“Full transparency, Lacey had some complications and had to have multiple surgeries,” Max shared via Instagram.
“She spent quite a bit of time in the ICU. Fortunately, she was released to the postpartum room earlier today and finally got to be with me and reunited with Cam😊.”

With things finally falling in place in golf as well, Homa is sure to give his best to win the event. His fans are crowding the course to show their support.
“It’s the best. I’m just the luckiest guy. Getting to come to a place,” He said on Saturday. “I’m from nowhere near here. I didn’t venture out here very much. To get to walk around and have all these kids and people cheering me on is just the coolest thing in the world.”
