Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes for a fee around £69 million.
But renewed interest from Real Madrid threatens to complicate the proposed move for the 28-year-old, per the Reuters.

The Red Devils are looking to sign a replacement for Casemiro, who announced in January he will leave the club this summer.
The Brazilian’s sensational form suggested United may hand him a new contract, but the club have made it clear they plan to stick to their original decision.
They view Guimaraes as a direct replacement for Casemiro, who has personally recommended his international team-mate as his ideal successor.
However, the English giants face competition from Madrid, who have renewed their interest in the Newcastle captain as Eduardo Camavinga faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real’s interest in Guimaraes goes back to Carlo Ancelotti’s previous tenure, when they wanted him as a potential successor to Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
But Newcastle managed to land the midfielder’s services after submitting a £43 million bid in January 2022.
United must secure Champions League football to sign Guimaraes
The Brazil international is one of the best midfielders in the world, who is highly rated for his passing range and goal-scoring ability.
He is Premier League proven, and has scored 31 goals in 189 appearances across all competitions for Newcastle.
Guimaraes would be an exceptional signing for United, but a Champions League finish would be a must to tempt the player to join.
Michael Carrick’s side are currently in a brilliant position to secure European football, as they are third in the league after winning seven of their last nine fixtures.
