According to the Daily Mirror, the Catalan giants are looking to make the 27-year-old loan move permanent in a deal worth around £25 million.

But that is not acceptable for United as they value Rashford closer to £40m.

The England international joined Barca on a season-long loan following a fallout with manager Ruben Amorim just a month after he took over from Erik ten Hag.

Rashford has had an impressive start to life in Spain, contributing to the Blaugrana’s undefeated beginning to the new season.

However, manager Hansi Flick dropped him from the starting XI for the home fixture against Getafe as a punishment for turning up late to training.

Rashford is one of the best talents to emerge from United’s youth academy.

He has spent nearly his entire career at Man Utd, netting 138 goals in 426 appearances and helping them win two FA Cups, two Carabao Cups and a Europa League trophy.

However, it is believed that Rashford has already played his last game for United as he has no plans to ever return to his boyhood club.

Barcelona have the option to make his loan move permanent next summer, but they are keen to negotiate a lower fee for the experienced forward.
