Manchester City locked horns with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to earn a victory on the road in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s men made a decent start to the game and scored the opener in the ninth minute thanks to Erling Haaland’s finish. The Mancunian club managed to get to the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Man City sat on their lead well in the second 45 minutes and managed to secure a narrow 1-0 win at the Gtech.

He made one good save at the back and kept an important clean sheet this evening.
RB: Matheus Nunes – 7/10
Nunes cleared the danger when needed and made two good runs with the ball.

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.
CB: Josko Gvardiol – 7.5/10
Gvardiol was a rock at the back and managed to secure an assist as well.

He got stuck in with some solid tackles and was lively in the opponent’s half.
CDM: Rodri – 6.5/10
Rodri made a good start to the game but had to be substituted in the 21st minute.
RW: Oscar Bobb – 7.5/10
He was a constant menace in the final third but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
CM: Tijjani Reijnders – 7/10
Reijnders caught the eye at times in the Brentford half, but there was no goal for him.
CM: Phil Foden – 7/10
He caused some problems for the opposition defenders, but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

Savio was quiet for most of his time on the field.

Haaland caused some headaches for his marker and managed to score the only goal of the game in the ninth minute.
