Luciano Spalletti is considering a lucrative two-year proposal from Al-Sadd, according to reports in Italy.
The former Italy head coach has been taking time out after his dismissal a few months ago but interest from abroad has not subsided and the Qatari club have now formalised their approach.
The package on offer is described by TuttoMercatoWeb as substantial and “difficult for anyone to refuse,” yet Spalletti is said to be unconvinced by the destination and is weighing up his next move.

The 65-year-old remains one of the most in-demand Italian coaches on the market after recent spells with Napoli, where he won the Scudetto, and the national team.
Several clubs have sounded him out in recent weeks as top sides across Europe monitor managerial situations ahead of the winter calendar.
For now, Spalletti is reflecting on the offer, balancing the financial appeal of Al-Sadd’s project against the sporting ambitions he typically prioritises. A decision is not believed to be imminent.
