Plans are afoot to make big changes to Liverpool’s forward options in the summer transfer window.

There are doubts over two players in particular – Mohamed Salah and Federico Chiesa. Although Salah is out of contract in 2027 it may be the case that Richard Hughes entertains offers for the Egyptian King in summer 2026.

Saudi Pro League clubs will be interested in the 33-year-old who signed a two-year, £400k per week contract renewal last year.

Chiesa meanwhile will be targeted by teams in Serie A having failed to make a significant first-team breakthrough under Arne Slot.

On the left side of attack Cody Gakpo hasn’t been at his best although he retains the faith of Arne Slot. The only other option is Rio Ngumoha – the skilful 17-year-old of whom fans would love to see more.

Therefore upgrades could be coming on both sides of attack – and it’s been claimed that the Premier League champions have reached out to Paris Saint-Germain to assess the availability of two treble-winning wingers according to a report in TEAMtalk.

Liverpool sent enquiries over Barcola and Doue

Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue have caught Slot’s eye – and it’s been apparent that the Dutch head coach sees wing as the next area for development in the Liverpool squad.

Barcola and Doue have got the trickery and creativity to improve the Reds’ attack – hence talks being launched with PSG.

“Liverpool made enquiries to establish whether either Doue or Barcola might become available as PSG continue shaping their squad,” the report reads.

Barcola is out of contract in 2028 and has been in and out of the Parisians’ starting lineup this season. Doue meanwhile is out of contract in 2029 and has endured somewhat of a stop-start campaign owing to injury.
