Once a player receives interest from a club, they will start to reconsider their options because a move elsewhere is suddenly on the table. Their unrelenting commitment to their team falters a little.
So when the conditions deteriorate to such an extent that the players is actively looking for a new club, Liverpool might happen to find themselves top of the list, because of the long-standing interest.
Beraldo is offered to Liverpool
This situation appears to be unfolding with Lucas Beraldo, a Brazilian centre-back currently at PSG.
He played in the defensive line for the Champions League winners’ Club World Cup campaign, but that was due to William Pacho’s absence with a suspension.

As such, it was reported last week that he has put in a transfer request to leave in order to secure a move where a more regular role in the side is guaranteed, and Liverpool fans began to dream.
Now, it is thought that Beraldo’s team are approaching a number of clubs to find a solution to the issue, with Chelsea and Liverpool said to have been involved in such conversations, per TBR Football.
The Reds and the Blues sit alongside Bournemouth in the interested parties for Beraldo’s signature and since Jarell Quansah left earlier this summer, Richard Hughes has a hole to fill in the squad.
At just 21 years old, it is difficult to not feel excited about the chance to sign the Brazilian because his potential is enormous and many will be confident about Liverpool’s chances, since the club’s interest in him started back in 2023 before he moved to Paris.
His asking price will be pivotal to each team’s chances this summer, but Liverpool have already shown they’re willing to splash the cash on moves they feel are necessary to bolster the squad.
