Talks between Manchester City and Rayan Cherki are progressing well with personal terms almost agreed, according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg. The main issue remains an agreement between clubs, with the player valued at €35 million to €40 million. A long transfer saga is not expected.

BREAKING: Pep Guardiola has indicated that both Ederson and Stefan Ortega will STAY at Manchester City this summer, speaking to reporters in Spain and relayed by SPORT.
Pep Guardiola: “I don’t know much about goalkeepers [joining/leaving the club]. I tell them to stay. We’ve talked about the situation of the squad, and the two goalkeepers we have will stay.”

BREAKING: Manchester City are pursuing a deal to sign Wolves left-back Rayan Ait Nouri, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein. Agreements still need to be reached between the clubs and with the player, however all parties now expect a move to happen.
According to MailSport’s Jack Gaughan, City are hoping to get a deal done for Ait-Nouri ‘sooner rather than later’ and expect to complete the signing having admired the player for over 12 months.
Wolves have already begun their search for a new left-back in the expectation that Rayan Ait-Nouri will join Manchester City, with the player keen on the move which should be agreed in time for the FIFA Club World Cup, according to The Telegraph’s Jason Burt.
According to Ben Jacobs, Manchester City value Aït-Nouri at around £30 million to £35 million while Wolves want over £40 million. Angers SCO have a 50 per cent sell-on clause on the player, but Wolves can buy this out for a fee in the region of £8.5 million.

While Dani Olmo was Pep Guardiola’s priority, discussions between Manchester City and Barcelona suggested negotiations would be ‘long, complex, and bitter’, according to Sacha Tavolieri. City want a No.10 and No.8 before the Club World Cup and therefore decided to prioritise Rayan Cherki.
Rayan Cherki has already expressed openness to the idea of working with Pep Guardiola and believes he can reveal his full potential at Manchester City. The player’s entourage are finalising personal terms with City and expect to sign a long-term contract.
