Kyle Busch’s hopes of winning the Charlotte Roval in the NASCAR playoffs ended early on Oct. 5.

Busch hit the wall on Turn 1 at Charlotte Motor Speedway just 1,000 feet into the first lap after being hit on the inside by Carson Hocevar.

The crash caused damage on Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet’s right front and rear toe link. The car was taken to the garage after Busch was able to drive it to pit road.

Busch has not won this season and did not make the playoffs. His last win came in 2023.

Busch was hopeful coming into the Roval with two of his best finishes in 2025 coming on road courses − fifth at Chicago and the Circuit of the Americas.

The DNF extends Busch’s winless streak. Busch has not won a NASCAR Cup race since June 4, 2023 at World Wide Technology Raceway.
