The move came after several names from past and present advocated for the midcard titles. In an interview with Fox News Digital on March 13, Bayley talked about how much it means to have the two new titles.

She then recalled Triple H giving her a heads-up about the new titles before their introduction when the new men’s Intercontinental championship was unveiled. The Role Model said that this news blew her away.

“I remember when they revealed the new (men’s) Intercontinental title. I forget what it was, but I remember looking at Hunter and I’m like, ‘Dang, we need one of those.’ And he was like, ‘Just wait.’ And I was blown away. And then we got the IC title, and we got the United States title like months after that,” she said.

Bayley says Triple H has total trust in the women’s division

Talking to Fox News Digital, Bayley said having the Intercontinental and United States championships for the women means there are more opportunities for everybody.

She then mentioned that it also shows that Triple H has “total trust” in the women’s division and it’s the strongest it has ever been. Bayley added that with only the top Women’s Championship and the tag team title, there were limited spots with so many talented stars on the roster.

The Role Model, who has been pursuing the IC title on RAW, also wants to get her hands on the United States championship.
