  • The Korn Ferry Tour Championship in French Lick, Indiana, will determine the final PGA Tour cards for the 2026 season.
  • Sixty-seven players are competing for the remaining 12 tour cards, with several area players in contention.
  • The PGA Tour and LPGA are holding events in Asia this week, in Japan and China respectively.
  • The SAS Championship marks the final regular-season event for the PGA Tour Champions before its playoffs begin.

It’s crunch time at French Lick for seven area players on the Korn Ferry Tour.

The Korn Ferry Tour Championship is Oct. 9-12 at the French Lick Resort in Indiana, with the top 75 players on the KFT points list vying for the last batch of PGA Tour cards for the 2026 season.

The top 20 on the points list after this week earn their cards. Adrien Dumont de Chassart, a native of Belgium who lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, won last week’s Compliance Solutions Championship with a record 72-hole score of 33-under to become the eighth player to clinch his Tour card.

That means 67 players are battling for 12 cards this week.

All 75 players in the field have earned full Korn Ferry Tour status for the 2026 season. But they’re going to a higher reward at the Pete Dye golf course.

Elsewhere, the PGA Tour and the LPGA are both playing in Asia this week. The PGA Tour will hold the Baycurrent Classic in Yokohama, Japan, while the LPGA Buick Shanghai is in China. Nico Echavarria of Ponte Vedra Beach is the defending Baycurrent champion.

It’s also a significant week for the PGA Tour Champions. The SAS Championship in Cary, N.C., is the final regular-season tournament and the top 72 on the Schwab Cup points list will advance to the Schwab Cup playoffs.

There are three players with First Coast ties inside the top 72, Vijay Singh of Ponte Vedra Beach (22nd), Jacksonville native David Duval (42nd) and UNF graduate Felipe Aguilar (70th).
