WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu started a new chapter in his career at Money in the Bank. The star turned on Solo Sikoa, preventing the Street Champion from winning the coveted briefcase.

Tensions between Solo and Fatu boiled over at Money in the Bank. Jacob and JC Mateo rushed in to help their teammate after Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed showed up to disrupt proceedings. However, when Solo Sikoa had the chance to grab the briefcase, the Samoan Werewolf dragged him down and destroyed him with a Moonsault, followed by a Uranage on a ladder. During an exclusive chat with Sportskeeda Wrestling, senior editor Bill Apter noted that Fatu’s turn was completely natural and organic.

The veteran journalist felt Fatu was possibly the biggest babyface in the company after this turn. He pointed out how fans were ecstatic to see the Samoan Werewolf finally give Solo his comeuppance. Apter pitched a high-profile match pitting Fatu against Solo, a former NXT North American Champion, at SummerSlam.

“It was fantastic the way they turned Jacob Fatu babyface. Judging by the fans’ reactions, Fatu is the most over guy in WWE at the moment. I’m hoping that they will add Jacob Fatu against Solo at SummerSlam. It’s a natural feud.”

The fans went crazy as Fatu yelled, “I hate you, Solo,” and destroyed the Street Champ. It will be interesting to see the fallout from this incident on SmackDown this week.
