On the latest episode of Coach and Bro Show, Jonathan Coachman explained that the Golden Globe nomination might have solidified The Rock’s belief in his potential to foray into serious acting.

“Tommy, I hate to say this, but I think because of getting nominated for a Golden Globe, HE is at a point in his life where he’s like “listen, I want to have the validation of being looked at as a serious actor. I think for a long time, people looked at him as a wrestler who was acting, and then last year, the Hollywood Reporter put out the vote. Furthermore, the WWE veteran added that The Rock’s new career trajectory could see him leave wrestling behind. Coachman stated that being involved in the wrestling industry might not go well with his new image of a serious-minded actor.

“And I think he looks back at it and says, if I go back to wrestling, then it doesn’t matter if I work with Scorsese. Or Dicaprio. I’m gonna continue to be looked at as a wrestler who’s an actor,” said Coachman.

Even as WrestleMania 42 looms closer, there’s been no hint whatsoever at the WWE legend’s involvement on the show in any capacity.
