Former wrestler-turned-trainer Bill Demott recently cleared the air regarding his departure from the WWE. The star used to train up-and-coming prospects for the company.

DeMott got a huge break in wrestling with WCW. When Vince McMahon acquired the company, Bill’s contract was also picked up by the WWE. After a short stint as an on-screen talent, the company started utilizing him backstage for training talent. DeMott worked on and off through several roles with the company. Both parties finally parted ways in 2015 after several accusations of Bill bullying some of the talent started surfacing.

During a recent interview with veteran journalist Bill Apter, DeMott mentioned that he faced the consequences of his actions the most. The veteran trainer noted that he believed in NXT and Triple H’s leadership. He did not want to dwell on the negativity of the past and decided to move on. Bill also added that the business gave him everything, and he was grateful for his time in the WWE.

“No one had consequences on my decision except me. And I think you have two options in this world. You go against everything, or you stand up for what you believe. And I believed in NXT. I believed in Hunter, I still do. I believe in this product. This business gave me everything. And there’s no reason for the negativity. Let’s just say I decided to jump on the sword,” DeMott said.
