A WWE SmackDown star has collapsed during a title match. The match was brought to an end soon after.
Nathan Frazer suffered an injury on WWE SmackDown
On SmackDown tonight, Ilja Dragunov put out his Open Challenge, and it was answered by Nathan Frazer. Tommaso Ciampa also came out, but Frazer was first and got the title match. However, things went wrong during the bout. Frazer was attacking Dragunov, and even seemed to have the advantage at different parts of the match. He hit him with everything that he had, and still the Mad Dragon refused to stay down.
Unfortunately, there was a moment, where Dragunov was hitting him with a suplex from the top rope. During the suplex, Frazer landed very badly. He was dropped directly on his neck. It looked like quite a scary landing so fans were glad when he got to his feet. The relief was not for long.
He collapsed while exchanging blows, despite not really taking any hard hits during the exchange that followed. The referee could be seen questioning Frazer and then telling Dragunov something. Immediately after, Dragunov hit his finisher and the match was brought to an end.
The star appeared really hurt in the aftermath, and not all there. Frazer’s injury may have been the second to happen on SmackDown today.
Nathan Frazer is one of the more promising young stars on WWE SmackDown
While he may have some distance to go, Nathan Frazer is seen as one of the more well loved stars in WWE currently. The star is young and has a lot of promise, with his team with Fraxiom being quite popular as well.
Now, should the star be injured now, it may be a while before he wrestles again. WWE will want to be careful, as they are very serious with their concussion protocol and rarely ever rushes a star back if they are not 100%.
