After making a shocking WWE NXT debut last week, Mariah May’s new name was finally revealed. She will be going under the ring name ‘Blake Monroe’ going forward, and will be involved in an in-ring segment next week.
The former AEW star did not appear on the latest episode of the black and silver brand. However, a vignette aired during the show that gave fans a hint of what her gimmick might be. Her new name was also unveiled during the video package.
It was announced on WWE NXT that Mariah May will officially sign her contract next week. This will make her an official member of what most feel is the best women’s division in wrestling.
It was also announced that next week, four eliminator matches will take place to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Lash Legend will face Kelani Jordan, Zaria will take on Izzi Dame, Thea Hail will square up with Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice will take on Jordynne Grace.
The last woman standing will challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Title at WWE Evolution. Mariah May had said she would be the next NXT Women’s Champion when she debuted, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens next week when she signs her contract.
