We’ve reached the first signature event of the year at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and, of course, there’s a star-studded field with each of the top 10 players in the world competing.
That means it’s Scottie Scheffler and the defending champion Rory McIlroy lead the way as the top two players in the 80-man field playing for $20 million with the winner taking home $3.6 million. Chris Gotterup, the only two-time winner on tour this year after capturing the WM Phoenix Open last week, is up to No. 5 in the world and in action.

Over the first two days, 40 players will rotate between Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill, each playing with an amateur partner. There is no cut and all 80 players will compete solely at Pebble Beach over the weekend.
McIlroy is making his first start on the PGA Tour this year. Scheffler, playing in his third Pebble Beach event, already has one victory this year, at The American Express. Justin Rose won at Pebble Beach three years ago and is coming off a victory two weeks ago at The Farmers Insurance Open.
Billy Horschel, Tony Finau, Keith Mitchell and Sahith Theegala all earned sponsor exemptions.
