On Night Two of SummerSlam 2026, Chad Gable finally managed to put his demons behind him to lift his first Intercontinental Championship, a title he had come close to winning before, yet the decisive victory had always eluded him. He was asked about his win on the SummerSlam Sunday Post-Show , to which he had a heartbreaking confession.
