Speaking at a post-match press conference attended by Get French Football News, Beye evoked the ongoing transfer window. “It is a situation that is disturbing for everyone. We have profiles that are sought after. This period isn’t simple. We’ll have to get through it,” said the Rennes manager.
Beyond Jacquet, a target for Chelsea, as well as Liverpool, Rennes also look resigned to lose Mohamed Kader Meité, who wasn’t even included in the matchday squad to face Monaco. Alongside Jacquet, Meité is considered the brightest academy prospect in Beye’s ranks. Rennes could lose both before the closure of the transfer window on Monday night.
