Kevin Owens tried chasing Zayn, but he could not catch the former WWE Undisputed Champion.

Sami Zayn increased his list of enemies last week when he interrupted a No. 1 contender’s match for the WWE Undisputed Championship. The match was a Triple Threat bout between Gunther, Finn Balor, and Kevin Owens. Zayn attacked all three wrestlers in the match because he was unhappy with the fact that he was excluded from the match.

Zayn forced the Triple Threat match to end in a no contest. He was then attacked by the current WWE Undisputed Champion, CM Punk. The Second City Saint almost knocked out Zayn, but the latter managed to recover and slammed Punk with the title belt. Last week’s episode of SmackDown came to an end with Zayn standing tall while Punk, Gunther, Balor, and Owens were knocked out inside the ring, each being taken out with the championship belt.

Following the brawl on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, Punk claimed to have one solution, and that was offering Johnny Gargano a title match in his home town of Cleveland, Ohio.
