According to a report from SPORT, tension is rising between Rodrygo and Real Madrid as uncertainty continues to cloud the forward’s future.

Although Rodrygo wants to stay at the club, Real Madrid’s current plans suggest they may be open to letting him leave this summer.

The 24-year-old is at a key moment in his career with the Spanish giants. Despite receiving public support from new manager Xabi Alonso, Rodrygo’s involvement on the pitch tells a different story.

During the FIFA Club World Cup, he played only four minutes in the quarter-final and just 24 minutes in the group stage clash against RB Salzburg. He was left out completely in three of the team’s six matches.

Alonso has not said anything directly in press conferences, but his team selections make it clear that Rodrygo is not among his first-choice options. This has naturally raised concerns within the player’s camp.

From the club’s side, the stance appears to be different. Real Madrid believe it is up to Rodrygo to make a decision about his future. At the same time, they are said to be willing to accept offers, should the right one arrive.

In the coming weeks, decisive talks are expected to take place. With Alonso aiming to finalise his squad for the next season, Rodrygo’s situation will likely be resolved soon.

If nothing changes, the Brazilian forward may be on his way out of Madrid, ending a chapter that promised so much but now appears to be losing its spark.
