Golfers at the Washington, D.C. course that President Trump is eyeing and attempting to take over received a warning on Wednesday.

East Potomac Golf Links, located in Washington, D.C., is being eyed by President Trump and his administration. President Trump’s administration terminated the leases of the three public courses eyed by the White House. The President of the United States and his administration are looking to leave their mark on the courses.

“The Trump administration prides itself on getting the job done for the American people and partnering with others who share that same goal,” an Interior Department spokesperson told NBC News.

But those who often play golf at the public Washington, D.C. golf courses are worried for what it could mean for their future.

On Wednesday morning, January 7, the golf course was packed with dozens of tee times and hundreds of golfers.

“147 players on the tee sheet on the blue course at East Potomac Golf Links this morning. Probably wind up doing 200 rounds. On Jan 7th. Let’s give them something to putt on today,” one golfer stated.

Golfers are worried about what the course could turn into

Local Washington, D.C. golfers are worried about what the course could turn into moving forward, if President Trump ends up taking it over.

Those in D.C. are worried that the course could be overran with President Trump’s friends, colleagues, political figures and more.

“I can see why it’s so essential to replace this tee sheet with 20 lobbyists, 6 oil executives, a couple car salesmen, 5 Only Fans entrepreneurs with selfie sticks and the recently-pardoned former executive of a health care company who didn’t pay taxes and instead bought a yacht,” one longtime golf writer stated in a clear warning to those in Washington, D.C.

East Potomac is a great golf establishment that is incredibly accessible for those in the Washington, D.C. community.

It would be a major shame if President Trump ruined that.
