With Graham Gano still sidelined with a groin injury, the Giants are activating kicker Jude McAtamney from the practice squad for the second straight week.
McAtamney will again handle kicking duties Sunday afternoon against the Saints.
The 25-year-old Ireland-product stepped in perfectly in last week’s win over the Chargers, drilling his two field goal attempts (22 and 33 yards) and lone extra point attempt.
He’s now a perfect 3-for-3 over his first two NFL appearances.
“Jude did a really nice job for us and excelled with everything we were asking him to do,” special team coordinator Michael Ghobrial said this week. “We just feel like he gave us the best chance to win.”
McAtamney once again beat out veteran Younghoe Koo, who remains on Big Blue's practice squad.
