NAPLES, Fla. – Alison Seber has a front-row seat to some of the LPGA’s biggest moments as one of the tour’s regular volunteers. The 31-year-old was on the 18th green with her father, Jim, at the CME Group Tour Championship last week at Tiburon Golf Club, her fifth tour event of the season. She’ll be back next month in Naples, Florida, for the Grant Thornton Invitational.
At the Solheim Cup, the Sebers are assigned to the first tee. The family has already booked tickets to the Netherlands in 2026.

“It’s the perfect way to start my day,” said LPGA star Lexi Thompson of seeing her positive, upbeat friend.

Jim says the family likes to kid that Alison’s extra chromosome resulted in extra personality. LPGA events have given her an extended community.
“It’s a big socialization thing,” said Jim.
Alison, who was born with Down syndrome, took up golf at age 5 and in 2018, won a silver medal for Team New Jersey at the Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle.
“I like everything about golf,” said a competitive Alison, who plays with a pink golf ball. Her other interests include hockey, football, HGTV and the Food Network.
She’s gotten a driver lesson from John Daly and fitness and mental tips from Thompson, her favorite player on the LPGA. At the 2024 Founders Cup in New Jersey, not far from the Seber’s Belle Mead home, “Ali” took part in a three-hole challenge with Grace Kim and Thompson.

“She just loves life,” said Thompson, “and she’s a good golfer, too.”
At the 2024 Solheim Cup, Alison fired up the crowd by swinging a “Get Loud” sign in front of the first-tee grandstand at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
Though LPGA commissioner Craig Kessler has only been on the job for a matter of months, he’s already gotten to know Ali, one of the LPGA’s most beloved volunteers. Kessler’s sister-in-law has Down syndrome and, having been blessed by her joy, was drawn to the Sebers.
“Every time I see her,” said Thompson, “it just makes me smile.”
Countless others can say the same.
