The rise of Yann Bisseck at Inter Milan has not gone unnoticed in Germany, where two former national team stars believe he can play a key role in the country’s next cycle.

Bisseck has forced his way into the starting line-up under Cristian Chivu.

Indeed impressing with his versatility and physical presence across the back line.

His consistent performances also earned him a senior call-up from Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann last year.

Former captain Michael Ballack believes Bisseck fits the profile of a player who can help refresh an ageing defensive core.

“He’s one of the first names to mention when you talk about rejuvenating this team that is getting older,” Ballack said, via FCInter1908.

He added that he would like to see the defender one day wearing the shirt of Bayern Munich.

After a difficult spell earlier in the season due to injury, Bisseck has regained his place.

And he is now considered indispensable in Chivu’s system.

His displays have also caught the attention of German giants Bayern, who are known to be monitoring defensive reinforcements.

On his podcast Einfach mal Luppen, Toni Kroos also praised the Inter centre-back.

“He had already impressed me last year. He’s an excellent central defender, especially for what he transmits. He’s one of those players you don’t want to play against, or at least not face in duels,” Kroos said.

With growing recognition at both club and international level, Bisseck is increasingly seen as part of Germany’s future.
