I have a confession. I’m completely hooked on Full Swing. When Netflix dropped the first season back in February 2023, I binged the entire thing in a day. Season 2 in March 2024? Same deal. Season 3 this past February? You already know. There’s something about gaining behind-the-scenes access to the PGA Tour that makes this show absolutely irresistible for golf fans like me: the raw emotions, the family dynamics and the pressure cooker moments.
I’m not alone in this obsession. Despite some viewership numbers suggesting a gradual decline, Full Swing has become appointment television for the golf community. It’s sparked countless debates, given us new perspectives on players we thought we knew, and made us care even more about the sport we already love. The show has done for golf what Formula 1: Drive to Survive did for racing. It pulled back the curtain and revealed the human beings behind the performances.

The Season 4 Confirmation (Sort Of)
Netflix hasn’t officially announced Season 4 yet, but let’s be real: it’s happening. Box to Box Films has it listed as “in production” on their website, and if we follow the pattern of previous releases, we’re looking at a February or March 2026 premiere. The cameras were rolling at the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. That tells us everything we need to know. This season is coming, and based on what unfolded in 2025, it might just be the best one yet.
One interesting note: sources indicate that Season 4 will feature six episodes instead of the seven or eight we’ve grown accustomed to. I’m not mad about it. If they’re condensing the storytelling, maybe we’ll get even more concentrated drama and fewer filler moments.

The Ryder Cup: Must-See Television
Let’s start with the obvious centerpiece: the 2025 Ryder Cup. If you followed that event, you know it was absolute theater. The tension, the drama, the stakes. Everything that makes the Ryder Cup special was on full display at Bethpage Black — having Full Swing cameras embedded with both teams during that week? That’s going to be appointment viewing, folks.
We’ll get the locker room speeches, the strategy sessions, the private moments of doubt and triumph. We’ll see what really happened behind closed doors when things got heated. The Ryder Cup episodes alone could carry this entire season, but thankfully, there’s so much more to explore.
How will the controversies with the crowds be handled? That right there could be absolute TV gold.
Scottie Scheffler’s Reign of Terror (In the Best Way)
Can we talk about Scottie Scheffler for a second? The man has been absolutely unstoppable. His continued dominance throughout 2025 deserves serious screen time. I want to see what makes him tick, how he maintains that level of consistency, and what it’s like to be the guy everyone’s chasing week after week.
Scheffler’s story is compelling because he’s not the flashiest player, but he’s undeniably the best. That quiet excellence makes for fascinating television when you get inside access.
Rory’s Masters Moment and the Grand Slam Grab

Rory McIlroy won the Masters in 2025. If Netflix cameras were in the trenches that fateful week, witnessing one of the most significant moments in modern golf history from the inside will be captivating. Rory completing the career Grand Slam? That’s the stuff of legend. The pressure, the expectations, the years of near-misses at Augusta, all of it culminating in that green jacket moment.
I desperately want to see Rory’s journey through that week. The emotions, the relief, the validation. This could be one of the most powerful storylines Full Swing has ever captured.
The Injury Epidemic
One storyline that doesn’t get enough attention: the injury bug that bit so many top players in 2025. Scottie dealing with that little Christmas cooking mishap, Jordan Spieth’s comeback from wrist surgery and Xander Schauffele battling back from rib injury. These are real, human stories that affect careers and livelihoods.
The Changing Landscape of Staying a PGA TOUR Member
The PGA Tour’s qualifying changes also deserve attention. These structural shifts affect real people’s careers and dreams. Following a player or two through the new qualifying process could give us that underdog narrative that made Joel Dahmen’s Season 1 story so compelling.
What Else Could We See?
The beauty of Full Swing is that it always surprises us. Maybe we’ll get the LIV Golf reconciliation discussions. Perhaps we’ll see the next generation of stars emerging. Could we get a deep dive into the changing economics of professional golf, exploring how the sport’s financial landscape is evolving and its impact on players?
Whatever Box to Box Films has cooked up, I’m here for it, and I wont at all be alone. Season 4 has all the ingredients to be something truly special. Historic achievements, drama, controversy, competition, personal struggles such as injuries and mental challenges, and the ever-present question of what the future holds for professional golf.
Season 4 can’t come soon enough.
