It was further reported that LM 52’s debut show will be held at the Interlomas Forum in Mexico City on May 7. The newly launched promotion has a TV deal with WBD Mexico. Lucha Mexico 52 is positioning itself as the next big thing in the country and plans to expand into the USA.

Wrestling veteran believes Alberto Del Rio will return to WWE

Alberto Del Rio was fired from WWE due to “unprofessional conduct” in August 2014. He made a surprise return to the global juggernaut in October 2015 only to be released a year later. Del Rio had been an integral part of the AAA roster before his quiet exit from the company following WWE’s acquisition of AAA.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast six months ago, legendary wrestling commentator Jim Ross noted that Alberto Del Rio’s return to World Wrestling Entertainment would not surprise him. The 74-year-old hailed the star but called him outspoken and unreliable. However, Ross opined that it could be sorted out through communication and management.

“It wouldn’t surprise me. He’s a very good talent. He has a great look. Being bilingual is another positive selling point. His issues are his reliability because of what you [host Conrad Thompson] already talked about. There’s issues there. He’s outspoken. There’s nothing wrong with being outspoken, that’s a fact, but sometimes his timing isn’t as good as one would ideally like. All that takes is communication and management,” Jim Ross said.

WWE fans have witnessed the return of several unexpected performers over the years. Only time will tell whether Alberto Del Rio also joins the list of such stars in the future.
