That’s not the same here in professional wrestling, as Priest needs to be the same character all year round. Unreal, though, takes away the lore of it and suddenly showcases the humane form of the stars, breaking the illusion. Damian claims even talking about this is doing damage to his persona.

“No, I bet they’re still always going to be a little old school with me. Look, we’ve already seen the rabbit out of the hat. Like, we get it, but I think just overly doing it- like we’re not making movies. There’s a difference- when you see behind the scenes of how a movie was made, because that actor or the performers in that movie are already playing a different role by the time that comes out. We’re still us. I’m still Damian Priest,” said Damian Priest.

Damian Priest even denied the WWE 24 documentary initially

During his World Heavyweight Championship run in 2024, Damian Priest’s WWE 24 documentary came out. It showed his journey from a challenging life in Puerto Rico to one of the most shocking moments in WrestleMania history. Priest, however, felt there was no need to tell his story.

While speaking on the same, The Sal Licata Show, Damian claims he initially said multiple ‘No’s to make a documentary on, as he saw himself as an entertainer who just wanted to wrestle and do that. But he was convinced by the fact that there could be people who could be inspired by him. Then, finally, Priest agreed.
