On social media, WWE confirmed the return of “Demon” Balor at WrestleMania. Reacting to the announcement, Rey urged Balor to whoop his son at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

“Whooop his A** Finn!!” wrote Mysterio.

Vic Joseph teased the return of “Demon” Finn Balor

Vic Joseph teased the return of “Demon” Finn Balor while being on commentary on WWE Main Event. He stated that Dominik Mysterio would have to be careful of Balor’s “demonic mind”.

Joseph said:

“We’re gonna find out at WrestleMania, when Finn Balor takes on Dirty Dominik Mysterio, we’re gonna find out just what’s on the mind – maybe the DEMONIC mind – of Finn Balor.”

Balor was set for a singles match on this week’s Monday Night RAW against his former stablemate and tag team partner, JD McDonagh. However, the match never officially began after Mysterio ambushed Balor during his entrance, as the Judgment Day duo laid out the former Universal Champion a week before WrestleMania 42. Later in the show, Balor commented on Mysterio’s actions and teased the return of The Demon before WWE confirmed it on social media.

Balor was kicked out of The Judgment Day after Mysterio lost the Intercontinental Championship to Penta on Monday Night RAW. The 44-year-old superstar was blamed by “Dirty” Dom, leading to a heated exchange between them, with Mysterio shoving Balor first. This led to Balor hitting Mysterio with the Pele Kick before a brawl broke out. The Judgment Day stood tall over Balor, marking the end of his stint with the faction.
