Filip Chytil has officially rejoined the New York Rangers in Calgary.

However, Chytil did not practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday, only skating with the extras following the Rangers’ morning skate.

This almost certainly means that Chytil will not play tonight when the Rangers take on the Calgary Flames.

The 24-year-old suffered an upper-body injury last week in a game against the San Jose Sharks after a collision with K’Andre Miller.

Chytil did not travel with the team to start their four-game road trip while he was being evaluated, but after a few days it was determined that he did not suffer a concussion and he was listed as day-to-day.

It doesn’t seem as if the Rangers want to rush Chytil back and it’s still unclear when he will ultimately make his return.
